Let’s take an inventory of the hobbies I have attempted. 

o        Rug making

o        Latch rug making

o        Sewing

o        Crochet

o        Knitting

o        Cross-stitch

o        Beading

o        Gardening

o        Water skiing

o        Painting

o        Macramé

o        Website building 

It almost too embarrassing.  Now it’s stained glass.  You get to use cool tools –electric ones too! And when you are done you have this beautiful piece of art – hand-made. I still do some of these crafts and I’m interested in others.  It’s just my short attention span keeps rearing its ugly head….photos to come!

Fry no more March 30, 2008

Call it a birthday resolution.  I’ve given up French fries.  They are gone from my gourmet menu. I was warned long ago by my Mother who said “you better watch yourself, your father had a heart attack, and his father had a heart attack…”.  She said I had better watch what I eat.  Did I?  No, of course not.  You see when you are young and full of vigor, no warning is too scary.  Remember people telling you NOT to mix your drinks all evening?  Or that backwards upside-down roller coaster?  Driving too fast with the radio blaring 867-5309?  Don’t cross your eyes they’ll stay that way?  There are a million warnings. Fried food is one of them.  With genes like mine… I better paid heed.
