Or was it a dingo stole my baby… I always get that one wrong. But then who cares, not many people remember that story anyway.
false advertising September 29, 2008
Let me be the first one to tell you that Camp Williams is a sham. The website pictures and language are so inviting. It’s expensive for one night there ($50 or $60 a space) but when you look at the little river running thru it and the beautiful scenary….ah…..it’s worth it. WELL NOT SO! I was apalled by the bathrooms. Clean restrooms? MY ASS. They were disgusting. and the “private hot showers” – they charge you for them. A little token machine next to the disgusting shower shalls. Not that I needed to shower at their facility because I had my own -thank goodness.
The camp sites were few and dirty. Trash and cigarette butts. It was very discouraging. We managed to enjoy ourselves however. Taking a walk down to the far end of the facility on the little river (trash down there too), but the dog took a swim and really enjoyed himself!
Camp Williams is off our list….and we’ll tell everyone we know.
Leo-palooza September 15, 2008
The word dates from an American idiom of the early 20th century—originally meaning “remarkable or wonderful person or thing” and sometimes alternatively spelled and pronounced as lollapalootza or lalapaloosa.[2] OR MY pronunciation of LEO-PALOOZA.
He’s my private festival. I would buy tickets and sit in the front row. I would throw my panties on stage for him.
He brings out the best in me. I’m hopelessly in love.
It’s official Ladies: I’ve got the last good man.
“I may not have gone where I intended September 5, 2008
…but I think I ended up where I need to be.”
Douglas Adams
I saw this quote today. Guess I’m behind the times. But it sure hit home. I’ve had some mighty big plans and by all accounts I shouldn’t be here right now. But nonetheless….here I am. Exactly where I’m meant to be.
Sometimes I think I drank too much wine, fell asleep and woke up 25 years later. Life has slipped into a very strange state. No longer in control, I manage the situations. Day by day.
