Stained Glass June 23, 2008

I started the class on March 4, 2008.  The first piece that we all did in that class was a Butterfly.

Butterfly

Then I moved on to something a little tougher. 24 pieces.  Red, Green, Gold and Clear glass.

So now I’m getting the hang of this.  The Rose was challenging but I needed something simple.  Cosmos.

16 pieces BUT look up close at the flower….now I have the right kind of movement in the glass.

Ah ha… I’m getting better at this.  The blue glass in this piece is so beautiful.  It looks like sky.  The cosmos has a yellow center.

So now I’m bored and thinking ‘let’s try something challenging’.  I know… something with many pieces and small ones so I can figure out how to do those.  Mermaid.

The Mermaid has 96 pieces. Red, Cream, Blue, Green, White and Irredescent White.  She is beautiful.

Her face is the size of my thumbnail.  Facial features were painted on by Karen Baton/Ocean Stained Glass.

Here’s a little piece I did for Kristin.  Started out as a nightlite and ended up as a suncatcher!  Palm Tree.

Now my mind is really cooking… I have some wacky ideas.  Airstream!

This is my first three months at stained glass.  I’m working on another piece right now and got another planned.  It’s June 23rd.  I’ll add more when I get there!

    Karen,

I was searching for a rose pattern and look what I found. All we need now is a picture of the dancing bears! Happy New Year and we hope to see you in the shop in January.
You have become quite an artist!

    Love, Joni
