About six years ago I was turned on to the art of jewelry-making by my friend Jen.  She was having a jewelry-making get together and invited me.  That was it… I was hooked.

Dragonfly

This was one of the first pieces I did.  The bracelet is glass beads and bone beads strung on elastic thread.  Cute little matching dangily earrings.

Then I moved on….  I became entranced with the little glass bumpy beads.

This bracelet is strung on TigerTail with a little heart toggle. I probably should have wire-wrapped the dangling planets because I lost quite a few and had to keep replacing them….but I was really new to the craft.  It’s a fun piece though.

Then I got a little more creative and I wanted to use this bloodstone center piece.  The necklace is peridot chips and the bloodstone.

Usually I just find cool beads I like…the same is true with this piece.  I liked the little blue beads with the green edging:

This one is also strung on elastic thread. Bicone Swarovski AB Crystals and silver spacer bead help complete the circle.

I saw watch faces at the Bead Show in Costa Mesa.  I love watches.

This one is cube amethyst and silver spaces.  Cute huh?

Next up.  I was on my way to a Saturday morning hair appointment in Long Beach.  I stopped for a coffee and right there in Seal Beach was a little Bead Shop!  They happened to be having a trunk show.  The artist is Bindy Lambell.  Her lampwork is beautiful.  The next two are Christmas & Halloween.

Unique square beads make this next piece:

Cubed amethyst set on an angle.  Heart toggle.  Sweet and fun!
